July 1997:Prof.Christian Barnard visits Sabinsa, NJ.
On July 2, Sabinsa was privileged by the visit of Prof. Christian Barnard, the surgeon who performed the first human heart transplant in 1967. Prof. Barnard concluded that Sabinsa's products are unique and of the highest quality and has agreed to endorse five of Sabinsa's products for the South African market.
July 1997: Sabinsa Corporation Opens Western U.S Facility
On August 5th, Sabinsa Corporation will open a new facility to better serve its western U.S. customers. The new facility will include raw material warehousing and shipping, as well as a sales and and customer service department.
February 1998: .... Sabinsa'sherbal ingredients: Sourced with care
Dr. Muhammed Majeed, President and C.E.O. of Sabinsa Corporation, examines Curcuma longa rhizomes at a plantation in India. These rhizomes will be processed in the state-of-theart manufacturing at Bangalore, India, to yield the standardized extract, Curcumin C3 Complex®
September 1998..... Patent on forskolin assigned to Sabinsa Corporation
Sabinsa Corporation was recently assigned a patent (U.S. Patent #5,804, 596, dated September 8, 1998) for the use of forskolin to promote lean body mass and treat mood disorders.
November-December 1999... Third U.S Patent granted for Bioperine®
Sabinsa Corporation has been granted its third patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on the use of its trademarked black pepper extract Bioperine®.
Nov.-Dec. 2000 ... New President of Sabinsa Corporation
We are proud to announce that Todd Norton, formerly Senior Executive Vice President of Sabinsa Corporation, has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of Sabinsa Corporation.
July 2001.... ForsLean® Wins Best New Product Award

Oct. 2002... New Super critical Extraction Facility
Sabinsa Corporation, announced the completion of its new supercritical carbon dioxide extraction facility.
December 2003: Sabinsa Corporation granted patent for Tetrahydrocurcuminoids
US Patent # 6,653,327 titled “Cross-regulin composition of tumericderived tetrahydrocurcuminoids for skin lightening and protection against UVB rays”.....
April-May 2004:Ellis Island Medal of Honor for Dr. Majeed

Sabinsa Corporation received the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the year 2004. This annual award instituted by the Research & Development Council of New Jersey.
May 2005: NSF Certification for Sabinsa's Products and Facilities
A plaque was presented to Todd Norton, President, Sabinsa Corporation, at the SupplySide Show in Baltimore, MD, acknowledging the certification.

Sabinsa Corporation Receives the 2005 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award... for its patent on method of increased bioavailability of nutrients and pharmaceutical preparations with tetrahydropiperine.
