Visitors to the Sabinsa booth (#20034) at Vitafoods Europe in Geneva, Switzerland from May 6 – 8, 2014 will have access to all the latest information on Sabinsa’s outstanding product portfolio, the science behind these products, Intellectual Property and new patents added to the global portfolio.
Sabinsa's Europe team will be in the booth at all times to provide detailed information on the company's proprietary ingredients, such as the award winning and patented Curcumin C3 Complex®, BioPerine®, ForsLean®, Boswellin®, Bacopin®, Digezyme®, LactoSpore®, and Citrin, with particular emphasis on the new Pterostilbene patents. Pterostilbene, branded as Silbinol®, is a major antioxidant compound that is just becoming understood, with Sabinsa and sister Company, Sami Labs involved in much of the research. This polyphenolic compound is closely related to Resveratrol, another well-known antioxidant. It has increased bioavailability in comparison to other stilbene compounds, which contributes to its broad array of health benefits.
Continuing an advocacy campaign for patent protection initiated by company founder Dr. Muhammed Majeed, the Sabinsa staff will be discussing the importance of the industry taking a stand against IP theft. Dr. Majeed feels strongly that it is crucial for industry stakeholders to take a stand against IP theft, because it directly impacts the innovation that drives the industry's growth.
Sabinsa’s staff is also looking forward to sharing details with their customers about the new continuous extraction facility that will increase production capacity by 200%. The $5 Million, 75,000 square foot expansion project at Dobaspet will feature a 25 MT per day capacity continuous extractor, a 15,000 square foot down stream facility, a state of the art microbiology lab and a 45,000 square foot warehouse. The facility is expected to be ready by mid-2014.
